In light of the Covid-19 crisis the Music committee has taken
the decision to cancel the 2020 Music Festival in November.
We hope to see you again in 2021.

Competitors’ age to be taken as on 1st September.  


An Official Accompanist is available for Singing, Strings, Woodwind & Brass, Recorder and Music Versatility classes.

1.   Copies of all own choice music must be provided for the adjudicator on the day. Music copies must comply with copyright regulations, see Festival Rules no. 4 regarding photocopying.

2.   No recorded accompaniment, backing tracks or karaoke will be allowed


BECKENHAM FESTIVAL MUSICIAN OF THE YEAR  
Held on the final Sunday of the Festival  

Some of the Festival’s most outstanding music competitors will be invited to perform for a maximum of 10 minutes before an adjudicating panel. All performers will receive a certificate and a medal. The winner will receive a special trophy, the Tom and Pat Sowerby Award and a cash prize of £100. The Maxine Kwok and Daniel Bates Cup will be awarded to an outstanding string or woodwind player. Admission is free and the public are warmly invited to attend.

Please note there are no rehearsal or warm-up facilities at Marian Vian School
or at St. George’s Church
