The Beckenham Festival is one of the largest amateur competitive performing arts festivals in the south-east of England. It is held during weekends in November each year and offers classes in Music and Dancing and Speech & Drama, with specialist adjudicators in all sections. There are around 500 classes to choose from, and as well as certificates and medals there are over 200 cups and trophies to be won, and many cash prizes and bursaries are awarded to successful competitors. A “Musician of the Year” competition is held on the final Sunday.

The Festival is held at Harris Academy Bromley (formerly Cator Park School), Beckenham; Harris Academy Beckenham (formerly Kelsey Park School), Beckenham and St. George’s Church, Beckenham.

For information on how the Festival is run please go to the Frequently Asked Questions page.

The Festival syllabus is published in June each year and is available free from London Borough of Bromley libraries and music shops or from the Festival organisers (see Enquires above). N.B. the 2011 syllabus is currently shown on this website and will be updated with details for 2012 when the new syllabus has been finalised.

The entry form can be downloaded from each section’s page.
