Unfortunately, due to an insufficient number of people to organise the Speech and Drama section, these classes cannot be held this year. It is hoped the situation may be remedied before the 2009 Festival.

The Beckenham Festival is one of the largest amateur competitive performing arts festivals in the south-east of England. It is held during weekends in November each year and offers classes in Music and Dancing, with specialist adjudicators in all sections. There are around 500 classes to choose from, and as well as certificates and medals there are over 200 cups and trophies to be won, and many cash prizes and bursaries are awarded to successful competitors. A “Musician of the Year” competition is held on the final Sunday.

The Festival is held at Cator Park School, Beckenham; Kelsey Park School, Beckenham; Sydenham High School, Sydenham and St. George’s Church, Beckenham.

For information on how the Festival is run please go to the Frequently Asked Questions page.

The Festival syllabus is published in June each year and is available free from London Borough of Bromley libraries and music shops or from the Festival organisers (see Enquires above).  Full details of the 2008 Festival are now shown on this website.

A link to obtain a copy of the entry form is available at the end of the Festival Rules page.
