Welcome to the website for

Beckenham Festival

Competitions in Music, Dancing, Speech & Drama

Held on weekends in October and November

Beckenham Festival is one of the largest amateur competitive performing arts festivals in the south-east of England. There are around 450 classes in Music, Dancing and Speech & Drama, with specialist adjudicators in all sections. As well as certificates and medals there are over 200 cups and trophies to be won. A “Musician of the Year” competition is held on the final Sunday, and the Festival acts as a qualifying heat for the All-England Dance Competition.

Beckenham Festival is affiliated to The British and International Federation of Festivals of which

Her Majesty the Queen is Patron.

The 2016 Festival was held at Langley Park School for Boys, Beckenham; Sydenham High School;
 Marian Vian Primary School, Beckenham; and St. George’s Church, Beckenham.

N.B. This website still shows details of the syllabus for the 2016 Festival. The 2017 syllabus will be displayed in May, and hard copies of the Music syllabus will be available free in June from music shops and from the Festival organisers.
